About
Guachinche La Cernidera, also known as Las Cuevas, is a small La Orotava lunch stop for local Canarian flavour without the resort polish. Reviews are strongest on grilled cheese, mushrooms with almogrote, sauces, simple grilled meats and brownie, plus a quiet atmosphere that still feels genuinely local.
Private parking is a real advantage in this part of the north, and the terrace makes it easier to treat the meal as part of a La Orotava or Puerto de la Cruz day. Hours are narrow, so check the current schedule before making a long detour.

Grilled cheese, mushrooms with almogrote and house sauces give the meal a clear local flavour.
Private parking makes it easier than many small north Tenerife guachinches.
Reviews describe kind service and a quiet, non-touristy atmosphere.
Opening hours are narrow, so do not build a whole day around it without checking first.

This is the real local atmosphere of Tenerife. Nice and friendly staff. Delicious food and nice atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Own parking is a big help. Thank you for the experience!

Amazing, hidden place with great food and the best service! Super local and not touristic at all. Highly recommended!
Personal recommendation: queso asado, champinones con almogrote and the chocolate brownie as dessert. Fantástico!

Inconspicuous but wonderful place. Great point for a trip on electric bikes from Puerto de la Cruz. A bit of sport and great food is always a good combination.
