We process data to authenticate users, moderate submissions, maintain platform integrity, and provide requested functionality.

We do not sell personal data.

Cookies, analytics, and service providers

Optional analytics tools are disabled until you accept analytics cookies. Necessary cookies for security, sessions, saved choices, and abuse prevention may run without analytics consent.

If you submit text to KnowTenerife, we may use service providers to help with moderation, translation, delivery, or support of that requested feature.

Business requests and leads

When you send a business request, KnowTenerife stores the request so it can be reviewed, routed, and protected against abuse.

If the selected business has claimed its listing and enabled lead forwarding, we may pass the request to that business as an independent recipient. Business lead records are retained for 180 days unless a longer period is legally required.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data, subject to legal and security obligations.

Send privacy requests to legal@knowtenerife.com. We may ask you to verify your identity and will normally respond within one month.

When deletion applies, private account data is removed and public contributions are anonymized or removed as appropriate. Data may be retained where a legal, fraud-prevention, or security obligation requires it.
