About
Guachinche El Fogon is a La Laguna guachinche for big portions, local dishes and a busy, informal room. Reviews praise the huevos rotos, calamares, timbal de bacalao and fresh salads, and several visitors describe the food as generous enough to share rather than order one full plate per person.
It is popular, so parking and waiting for a table can be part of the visit. English may be limited, but the stronger reviews point to warm service, well-presented dishes and a proper local-food stop when you want something more Canarian than the usual tourist menu.

Food was delicious! Place with a very nice atmosphere. We will come back for sure! We ordered ensalada, huevos rotos, calamares and timbal de bacalao. Portions are very big, so better take 1/2 as we did.

We visited this place hoping to try some local island food, but unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience.
The staff couldn’t speak English at all, which made it very difficult to communicate and order. We asked for recommendations for local dishes, but they were unable to help us. In the end, we ordered the “beef steak” just to try something, but it turned out to be the worst steak we’ve ever had in our lives—tough, tasteless, and poorly cooked.
Overall, we didn’t have a pleasant experience.
