About

El Patio de Pedro is a guachinche-style La Laguna stop for big Canarian plates, local wine and a patio that often runs on a take-a-number rhythm. The strongest reviews are about food with weight: huevos rotos with almogrote, grilled meat, garbanzas, grilled cheese with mojos, stuffed mushrooms and steak brought to the table with a grill.

It is informal, busy and worth treating like a local tavern rather than a polished restaurant. Waiting for a table is common but usually manageable with a cold Dorada; once seated, portions are generous and the value is still strong for visitors used to resort prices.

Commonly mentioned by visitors.

Huevos rotos with almogrote, grilled meats and stuffed mushrooms give the meal a strong local feel.

Portions are generous, with local wine that visitors even take away by the litre.

The patio wait can be part of the rhythm if you are not in a rush.

It can feel chaotic when busy, especially if service is disrupted.

A well-known spot and well deserved! It’s common to take a number and wait for a table in the patio, but the turnover is quick. Plus, you can enjoy a cold Dorada beer while you wait, which makes it even better.

The food is generous and full of flavor. We loved the huevos rotos with almogrote — an amazing combo — and the grilled meat platter was tender and delicious. We also had garbanzas and grilled cheese with different mojos. Everything tasted homemade and very well cooked.

The service was friendly and fast. All in all, a great place to enjoy authentic Canarian food at a fair price.

The food was excellent. We eat steak for 2 people, and for starter stuffed mushroom with almogrote. Everything was excellent and super fast. We got grill to table for the steak, it was very good and tasty experience.

Delicious food, big portions, very nice stuff and joyful atmosphere. The house fruity white wine is very good. We even took 2 liters of wine on the go. The overall price for 2 was 55 EUR. I highly recommend this place.

Guys, the place is a local tavern-like restaurant. Great place for meat lovers. Food is simply amazing! I see locals say that the prices are high... We felt like it was worth every penny! My approx 250g tenderloin steak was €11! Excellent pepper sauce. The wife had fish and she loved it too! Local atmosphere, great service. There is no English menu available but I added translated one in photos. Highly recommended!!! We came across it by pure luck going back from Teide on TF-24. It may be a bit laud as the local residents simply enjoy their own company.

The food was genuinely great and definitely the highlight of our visit. It’s also very conveniently located close to the airport, which made it an easy and practical stop.

That said, the experience was a bit chaotic due to an unexpected medical emergency with our server, which understandably created some confusion and delays. The situation was handled as best as could be expected under the circumstances, and our thoughts were with the staff member.

Despite the unusual and hectic moment, the quality of the food still stood out, and the location makes this a solid option for travelers.
