Guest review summary

Commonly mentioned by visitors.

Guests like the old-town location: close enough for La Laguna and Santa Cruz events, but calm to return to at night.

The historic lobby, green atrium, rooftop pool and large modern rooms give the hotel more character than a simple city stay.

Staff responsiveness is a real positive: one guest received a kettle minutes after asking through the feedback flow.

Breakfast is not equally praised by everyone; one guest found parts of the buffet only okay.

Small bathroom details such as shower safety mats and toilet brushes appear in practical comments.

The evening restaurant can feel quiet even when the food is good value.

We had a wonderful stay at La Laguna Gran Hotel.

The location is absolutely perfect, especially during Carnival — close enough to fully enjoy the festivities in Santa Cruz, yet far enough to return to peace and calm in the evening. It truly offered the best of both worlds.

The rooms were very well equipped, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Everything we needed was there (although a bathrobe would have been a lovely additional touch to get to the swimming pool).

The staff was genuinely friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. We felt well taken care of throughout our stay.

Breakfast was excellent — generous, varied, and of great quality, with plenty of options to suit everyone.

Overall, a fantastic experience, and we would happily return.

Well located with a stylish old lobby and large modern rooms. Beautiful pool area on the roof. Staff were friendly. Good breakfast and excellent evening meal which was unbelievably good value. Just a shame more people weren’t there to add a bit of atmosphere. Bar and lobby were always busy and lots of atmosphere

Great hotel with excellent service! On my first day I connected to the Wi-Fi and got a request for feedback. I said that a kettle would be nice in the room to be able to make some tea. 30 minutes later two ladies knocked at my door and brought me a kettle, a few teabags and two glasses. That’s service! They have a good gym, too. Hotel overall with nice interiour.

We had a great stay. Highly recommended!

Pros: - Great location - Friendly and helpful staff - Spotlessly clean - Beautiful historic building with greenery-filled atrium - Huge roof terrace with hot tub and pool, open in February when we visited - Tea and coffee facilities in the room - Super comfortable bed, we slept well - Amazing value coffee bar off the lobby

Cons: - Our Noble room had gorgeous floor to ceiling windows directly onto the Main Street with (very old) heavy wooden shutters. The shutters can’t be opened independently of the windows so the room was dark unless the windows were wide open. - Hotel’s car park wasn’t open during our stay so we had to park in the public parking lot, about 5 mins walk away. This lot gets very busy and there was always a line and a wait to get in. That said, we always found a spot though. Just had to persevere.

Very nice hotels with a wonderful Atrium space for guests to sit in and a very reasonably priced bar. Rooms were very comfortable and water pressure good in bathrooms. Bathrooms should include a rubber shower mat (for safety) and also a lavatory brush to enable toilet cleaning.

Buffet breakfast was perhaps only OK. The Serano ham was not as good as I have had elsewhere, and the cooked items were poor. Little choice of fruit and buffet rather poorly laid out.
