About

Koffushi is a Puerto de la Cruz cafe for plant-based brunch, specialty coffee and fresh baking, with enough care in the food to feel different from a standard resort cafe. Reviews praise brunch plates on fresh bread, Buddha and Shiva bowls, cheesecake, matcha and coffee, and several guests mention staff who take time to explain the beans, ingredients and ecological angle.

It is strongest for a late breakfast, light lunch or coffee-and-cake stop when you want something fresh, modern and mostly vegan. Strict vegans should still confirm the current milk and kitchen setup before ordering, because one reviewer noted cow's milk was available despite the vegan positioning.

Absolutely beautiful plant based cafe / restaurant! The food has been created with thought and flavour, you can tell they're passionate about creating amazing food!

We came here for a late breakfast after a trail run along the coast, and had a 'trio of brunches' all on fresh baked bread 👌🏼 Although we were satisfied, we could not go without having the cheesecake also!

The coffee was superb, well sourced, well balanced and well brewed. The local craft beer excellent!

We would 100% recommend KOFFUSHI for anyone wanting considered, tasty and healthy food. Or just a coffee and cake. We only have good things to say about this place!

The staff here are super friendly and welcoming, so nice. U ARE WON DER FUL! - You'll get that when you see them! Thank you for a lovely brunch 🙏🏼

Edit: We've been coming back all week for great coffee, great local craft beer and wonderful baked treats. The vibe of the place is so relaxed and friendly. It'd be great to come and work here at the bar top in the window for an hour or two.

We had a lunch of the Buddah and Shiva Bowls (check photos) and both were excellent, fresh, tasty and wholesome! 👌🏼 Everything is great here including the people!

Great specialty coffee, tasty vegan food, really nice and friendly staff. 5 minutes of talking to them taught me more about coffee culture than any other coffee shop ever. Such a pleasure seeing places like this in Puerto.

I had to wait a bit to get served even though the place was not full, however when I was served it was with a smile and very friendly. The menu options were explained highlighting that they were striving to be as ecologically friendly as possible. Everything was freshly made including the bread. Great place for vegans. And for anyone wanting speciality coffee. Very clean. Inside and outside area. Reasonably priced and my food was excellent.

Okay a tiny update that matters to vegans: The place also serves cow milk :/ while says it’s vegan in all ads.

Older version of the review (still majority of info stands): This was such an amazing find. Vegan food and drinks. Great taste, unique specials, all home-made and deliciously tempting aesthetics of their deserts. We had lunch, coffee in specialty eatable cup and desert. Friendly service too. They also offer a card for regulars of the place to get discounts—nice touch! Definitely coming back while on the trip.
