About

Slow Coffee La Orotava is the brand's old-town branch on Calle Leon 1A, and the best reviews make it feel like more than a quick caffeine stop. Guests talk about careful coffee extraction, micro-roasted beans, matcha, local produce, handmade food and a goat cheesecake memorable enough to ask for the recipe.

Use it when your day is built around La Orotava rather than Puerto de la Cruz. The room is tiny, but the coffee is treated seriously, and the service is warm without rushing the order. Hours are short enough that it should be checked before making it the only coffee stop in a walking day.

Specialty coffee and micro-roasted beans are the strongest reason to go.

Matcha, local produce and goat cheesecake give the tiny room more character.

Service feels warm and informative rather than rushed.

Hours are short enough to check before building a route around it.

What a Gem. A humble whole in the wall, sharing an experience to remember.

The service was very welcoming & warm with a sharing of information from the origin to the execution which gave context to the experience.

You can tell the food was hand made, fresh and with finesse & experience, full of flavour yet without bragging.

The coffee was spot on… a specially selected coffee from a select region with thought and a flawless extraction. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

When someone runs a business like their heart project, you can sense it, and at Slow Coffee you can taste it, too. Incredible efforts of the two wonderful ladies introducing local produce at its best, a fantastic coffee and matcha experience, and the goat cheesecake is something we wished to had asked for a recipe for. Thank you for this experience! Recommended by a friend, and we’ll definitely spread the word.✨

Best coffee on Tenerife, with an atmosphere to match.

The service was super friendly and quick (but not rushed!). I could’ve easily spent a while in there with a good book, admiring the quirky details in the decor.

The coffee was the best I’d had all week on Tenerife so forgot to take a photo off the full cups after one sip. They’ve been nominated for best coffee shop in Spain, and I can see why.

There are not many speciality coffee places in Tenerife, what makes this tiny place even more valuable! Had a great cup of pour over with delicious Gesha beans. If you look for good coffe on this beautiful island - go there!
