About

Guachinche La Huerta de Ana y Eva is one of those north Tenerife guachinches where the queue is part of the practical reality. Reviews describe a busy local lunch spot with generous portions, fast service, house wine and classic Canarian dishes.

The strongest dish signals are goat meat, grilled chicken, chickpea dishes, croquettes and local specialities. Go early if you want to avoid a wait; several reviewers mention the place filling soon after opening. Parking can be awkward, so treat it as a planned lunch stop rather than a quick roadside fallback.

Guest review summary

Commonly mentioned by visitors.

Goat meat, grilled chicken, croquettes and house wine are the most useful order signals.

Portions are big enough that taking leftovers away is normal.

Fast, friendly service helps even when the room fills soon after opening.

Queues and parking are the main tradeoffs; arrive early if the meal matters.

Goat was amazing. Chicken Croquetta was the best we had on the trip. House white wine delicious. Skip the mojos sauce (bitter, made with canola and frozen), the aiolis are better. Honestly sad they don't have traditional mojos but that is the only down side.

Arrive early, Thursday 30 mins after opening Ther were 50 people in line. Sat arriving 30 mins early and we were seated as they opened.

I found this site on the recommendation of YouTube and the truth is that we have been pleased. We arrived first before it opened at 1:00 pm and already in its opening hours everything was completely full. Very good service, first-class attention, kindness and professionalism. The dishes were very well served, I personally loved the goat meat, exquisite. It was clean and everything in it was very fast. I think it was excellent. If you come, I recommend that you arrive early and that way you avoid waiting. Of course, it only opens from Monday to Friday and from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

We stayed in La Matanza and when searching for restaurants I came across this guachinche. I was intrigued by the many good reviews so we paid it a visit. What a gem!! Homemade and delicious food, friendly and fast service as well as good wine. We were hungry and food was so good that we forgot to take pictures the first time but we returned the day after for seconds. All the dishes we tried were delicious but we especially recommend the grilled chicken and goat meat, exquisite!

An amazing place! Portions are big (we even had to take away what we couldn’t finish), food is fresh and most of the dishes are local specialty. The best thing is service, you can see every team member moving really swiftly, everyone was friendly to us and helped with translations and dish choice. The place owner was there supervising restaurants work and helping clients. Even though the place is very popular, we were given a table very quickly, which is almost impossible in other guachinnche. Great experience!

Good typical food in an interesting place. Parking was a bit hard to find and we waited about 20 mins for a table (around 3:30pm). Our waitress seemed new and we had to repeat ourselves a few times to get served, but she was kind. We shared a few plates which were good but nothing extraordinary and the prices were good.
