Surf Life Tenerife is a well-structured surf school in Parque Santiago 3, Playa de las Americas. Its strongest advantage is choice: group lessons, private family lessons, double private lessons, 1:1 surf lessons, kids private lessons, premium coaching with video analysis, longboard coaching, SUP, surfskate and snorkelling boat tours. Group lessons last two hours and use a maximum ratio of one instructor to six students.
Visitors praise the school for the details that make a lesson actually work: WhatsApp communication, welcoming reception, patient instructors, family-friendly support and coaching that explains what to change rather than just pushing people into waves. I had a fantastic experience with Surf Life in Tenerife! I came with my son, who didn’t really want to go at first, but in the end he decided to try it—and we both enjoyed it so much. It turned out to be a wonderful experience for both of us.
A big thank you to today’s amazing instructors, Josu and Dani. They were friendly, patient, and made the whole lesson fun and safe. Their positive energy really made a difference!
Carolina at the reception desk was also very welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. And many thanks to Maria for the communication via WhatsApp—everything was well organized and easy thanks to her.
We truly had a great time and would definitely recommend Surf Life to anyone visiting Tenerife who wants to try surfing! 😍🙏🏻

I took the Premium Coaching Package and it was a really good experience. Samu coached me in all the sessions and explained very well what I was doing wrong and how I could improve. I particularly like the teaching spot. It’s uncrowded, easy to paddle out and the waves are not breaking very fast - very helpful for intermidiate surfers looking to improve.

The school is so friendly, and Marta especially is an amazing surf coach! I was on the board for the first time and completely trusted Marta as a true professional. She was incredibly attentive to me and to everything happening on the spot. It was super fun and at the same time very professional. I felt safe and supported. The team at the school is full of good vibes and helped us in every way they could. Thank you guys – I’ll be coming back many more times!

I took 1:1 longboard lessons with Antonio, and he’s been absolutely incredible! His mix of theory, practice, and video analysis made every session both fun and super effective. He explains everything with such clarity and patience, you can tell he truly cares about helping you progress and enjoy the ride. Thanks to his guidance, I’ve felt a real breakthrough in my longboarding journey.
I also had the chance to train with Samu, the true king of any type of board! His energy and skill are inspiring, and learning from him was such a bonus.
The rest of the team is just as amazing, friendly, helpful, and full of good vibes. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, this surf school is the perfect place to learn, grow, and fall even more in love with surfing. 100% recommended!
