Rock Spa at Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife

I had a genuinely gorgeous experience at the Rock Spa with masseuse Eriko. My only regret was that I got the 50minutes massage instead of the 80minute. I knew from the first 30seconds of the experience that the experience was going to be magical. You can tell that Eriko genuinely enjoys her job and wants you to relax and unwind and her massage was just stunning. I have been to many hotels globally and genuinely, this was the best massage I have ever received at a 5*Star hotel. I recommended Eriko to numerous ladies at the poolside and will definitely be back to visit her again. Thank you so much.

To add to my previous review - Anita has been great and enthusiastic with the activities - the aqua aerobics was fun and energetic - my husband and I also took part in the mini games by the pool. It must be hard to get people up and moving about in this heat but Anita has been very successful!!

We recently booked a €390 spa package, which was advertised to us by a staff member as including a massage with private villa access and jacuzzis. Unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations.

Package Details: While the massage was satisfactory, it was not exceptional. The "private villa" was misleading; it was essentially the massage room with an indoor jacuzzi and a small outdoor terrace jacuzzi. Privacy was also a concern, as guests from the spa could see us through the wooden partition while we were outside.

Amenities: The cava provided was subpar, and the fruits were average. The chocolate sauce was unappealing. These amenities did not meet the quality we anticipated given the cost.

Facility Issues: The spa facilities themselves were also disappointing. The Turkish hammam had no steam, rendering it ineffective. The buttons for the large outside jacuzzi were incredibly difficult to turn on/barely functional, and the jets throughout the spa were too weak to provide any real benefit. Compared to other spas we’ve visited, these issues made the experience subpar and less enjoyable.

Service: Our experience was further marred by poor service. A spa staff member was notably rude, questioning why we were still there despite having a designated time for spa access. She also told us we couldn’t place our towels on the heated stone beds, although other guests were doing so. When we pointed out that the stone beds were dirty, she shrugged off our concerns without addressing them. We felt unfairly treated, especially as other guests were using their phones in the spa, which was against the rules, but they were not reprimanded. Although another staff member later attempted to make amends, the damage had already been done.

Overall Impression: Given the disappointing service, mediocre massage, and the misleading "private villa" setup, we felt the experience did not justify the price. It was not the relaxing retreat we had hoped for.
