Seafood restaurant
4.6 (5)Garachico15-25 €

Restaurante Galeon is a quiet seafood restaurant near the sea in Garachico, with reviews that sound less like hype and more like people pleased by the bill. The useful orders are seafood soup, limpets, mussels, razor clams, grilled squid and the fish of the day; portions are repeatedly described as generous, with enough left over for lunch in one review.
It is not a flawless card. One guest found the fish badly cleaned, and another mentioned small billing details on bread and sauces, so it is worth checking the plate and receipt rather than drifting through the meal. Still, the balance is positive: fresh shellfish, fair prices, friendly service and a homemade cheesecake with a nutty flavour make it a strong Garachico option when value matters.

Super clean and neat. The value for the money was exceptional. We had so much food in one portion for such a good prize. The fish of the day was sama and my boyfriend had a grilled squid and we had some sides. We couldn’t finish, so we packed the rest to go for a lunch. It was the best food we had on our holidays throughout whole Tenerife, and we found it by accident. Super happy. The service was so classy, it felt like a Micheline star experience. We wished to leave a tip but unfortunately it’s only via cash (tips), which is super sad for the stuff cause they are exceptional, so perhaps the owner should rethink that :) or make sure the tip for a service is included. Such a delicious meal. I got So hungry just by looking at the photos again. Really exceptional place! Best food in north and south together!

An amazing place in Garachico to have some incredible seafood. The seafood soup, limpets, mussels and for the first time in my life, razor clams were spectacular. Fresh, juicy and full of flavour. The cheesecake was also insane, it had a very unique nutty flavour to it. Reasonable prices coupled with friendly service and a great atmosphere make this place a must for seafood lovers. An extra big thank you to the people who took care of me on that evening. Muchas gracias 😁

Excellent restaurant, good quality food in large quantities at a reasonable price. Helpful and friendly staff, close to the sea and very quiet.

Quite an average experience overall. The service was very friendly and quick. The place was almost empty unfortunately (we got there at about 20:30 pm). Very average croquetas, the “camarones” were good and the fish was dry, unsure if it was that fresh (it was in the fridge outside but I don’t know for how long…). Then we had a dessert that they apparently bake it themselves and it was overcooked unfortunately. We also ordered wine and it was served in a glass small bottle, no idea which wine it was. A bit disappointing to be honest.

We ordered the fish mix for two people and one portion of bread. The menu said bread costs €1, but we were charged for two portions at €1.20 each, along with mayonnaise sauces we didn’t order. For that, we received only two small pieces of bread. The fish was not properly cleaned — it still had scales and a black lining/membrane which leaves a bitter taste. Such preparation is simply unforgivable, especially in a restaurant serving fish. Unfortunately, a very poor experience with both the food and the service.
