About

Il Ponte is a small Italian restaurant in Puerto de la Cruz where seafood pasta and octopus stand out as much as pizza. Reviews praise the linguine carbonara di mare for fresh seafood and balance, the octopus as unusually tender, and the thin Roman-style pizza for proper crisp dough rather than a heavy tourist crust.

The setting is simple and there are few tables, but that is part of the appeal: friendly Italian service, useful recommendations and food that feels better than the street setting suggests. Tuesday and Wednesday are closed, and the other days usually split into lunch and dinner slots, so reserve if the meal matters.

Had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! I tried the linguine carbonara di mare, and it was an amazing combination—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with fresh seafood. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was friendly and attentive. Definitely a place I’d love to visit again!

This is the best octopus I've ever eaten! Pasta is also perfect!

Very very tasty food!

Good service, staff is very friendly.

Update:

Second time to visit this place. This time we wanted to try pizza. I can safely say that this is one of the best pizzas we have tried. The dough is so thin and crispy, every ingredient is quality. The chef really knows his job! All recommendations for this place. You will surely leave full from here.

Here I have to give top score, not because it is the best located and nicest restaurant buildning. But because the food and the service here is over the top! True italien cousine with relative low prices and true street restaurant enviroment. Few tables so make sure you order or come early or late. The waiter and owner(?) on the picture is a very nice italien who speaks, Spanish, Italien, French, English and Portugese fluent. Very recommended!

We had the fettuccine carbonara and really enjoyed it — tasty and a generously sized portion. The waiter was very friendly and even gave us helpful recommendations. It’s not the cheapest place, but the food quality and overall experience made it worth it.

Had a PROPER authentic Roma pizza here. Paper thin crispy base which was bigger than the plate. Napoli pizza has a thicker base but still no where near the horrible British thick crust pizza rubbish that's passed of as authentic. Run by a friendly Italian family. Would happily go back and sample something else. They have a whole menu of other dishes together with daily specials, but I was only there for the pizza. Arrived early evening about 30 mins after opening and they already had 2 tables filled and another 2 during our meal. Had 2 pizzas and 2 large beers for €26
