About

Jade Green is a Chinese restaurant in Puerto de la Cruz, tucked just off the top of the Agatha Christie steps in a conservatory-style dining room that shows some age but stays clean and comfortable. Duck pancakes, sweet and sour prawns, hot plate beef with garlic and crispy chicken are the dishes visitors return for, and portion sizes are consistently described as large enough to take food home.

Service is repeatedly praised as warm and attentive, often with small extra touches like complimentary spring rolls or a treat handed over on the way out. Prices are seen as low for the quantity and quality on offer, which is a recurring reason visitors say they came back more than once during the same holiday.

Read so many reviews and FINALLY went to try Jade Verde for lunch today. Oh my - where to start. Had to be one of the nicest Chinese we have had. Because we want all the tastes we started with Duck pancake. Sublime - crispy duck so well cooked and still moist too. This would have been enough, but hubby and I can't stop there. We ordered the Sweet & Sour prawns, Hot Plate Beef with Garlic, Singapore noodle and Veg Rice!! The beef was so tender and tasty, and sauce mmmm. The prawns were crispy, crispy and the sauce - lick yiu fingers. Our least fav was the noodles - but when these were yummy. Bottle of really nice, crisp white wine at 13€ to cap it off. We took the rest as a Take Away and will have chinese for two for at least another one or two meals, so at 84€ it's pretty good. Portion sizes are very big. Service was great and with all that food no wonder she looked at us strangely. Thank you and we'll be back Only drawback were other people listening to crap on their phones at full volume. What happened to manners

Beautiful and plentiful food, served by the warmest kindest soul.

Food: Absolutely beautiful food - flavourful, great portion size and good quality - all for a great price. We had a mixture of the Roast Duck pancakes, various sushi, vegetable rice, and chicken and chips for the kids. Enjoyed every piece.

Environment: Found just a short way up the Agatha Christie Steps - nestled to the side. The entrance is a large open space, with the seating in a conservatory style building to the side. Whilst there are some signs of age and repair, it was clean, spacious and had a lovely ambience of being outside whilst not to exposed.

Service: I always appreciate when in another country that English is not always spoken - so very thankful of the effort taken when I order in English. The lady who served us was attentive, kind and absolutely was the cherry on top. She even gave us free spring rolls and additional sushi into the mix - and when leaving was so lovely to our little boys, giving them over lollies.

We would 100% recommend if you enjoy Asian food and would return if back in Puerto de la Cruz.

AMAZING My partner and I chose to visit for lunch as it is directly behind our hotel and is at the top of the Agatha Christie stairs (also really was craving Chinese food). We were welcomed by the sweetest lady the host whose name I unfortunately didn’t get and we were allowed to pick our seating as we were the first customers in as they had just opened. There was a spectacular view and we opted for Spring rolls to start which were huge and seasoned beautifully. My partner chose the crispy chicken exchanging the sweet and sour for curry sauce instead and the beef noodles. I chose the chicken black bean with egg fried rice and the portions were huge!!! Can’t complain at all with the price as ours would have definitely fed 4 people. Everything was tender and flavourful, could eat the rice and noodles without sauce they tasted that good! Upon paying the hostess gave us choc ices and was so friendly and grateful for the compliments! We had planned to go to an Italian tonight but have rescheduled for tomorrow as we can no longer move 🤣🤣 Please ignore any complaints about this place it is just picky people! Waiters understood us perfectly and we had the best time! Please come try this

Absolutely amazing Chinese, portions were massive on everything we didn’t finish one plate and you get a free magnum when leaving so cute. Service was VERY fast food comes soon as it’s cooked and waitress was polite. We have been back twice already! Absolutly recommend if you want a cheap Chinese it would of cost double for us at home we were so impressed.

I love this place. Amazing hospitality by the lady, we even got complimentary spring rolls. The hot n sour soup is the best in town. Don't miss out on the fried rice either! Would definitely come again! Super yummy and great location 👌🏼
