About

Dilecto Gastrobar is one of the more interesting La Orotava choices when you want local cooking with a bit of imagination. Reviews point to fish croquettes, tacos, seasonal tomato and cucumber soup, pork with sweet potato, goat taco, goat cheesecake and wine rather than a generic tapas list.

The service matters here because the team explains dishes and ingredients with real care. It suits a meal built around several plates, a bottle of wine and enough time to ask what is strongest that day. The terrace-on-parking setting is practical rather than romantic, but the food is the reason to book.

Commonly mentioned by visitors.

Goat taco, fish croquettes and seasonal dishes make the cooking feel genuinely inventive.

Staff explain ingredients with care, which helps the local-food angle land.

Wine gets strong praise and suits a meal built around several plates.

The terrace-on-parking setting is practical rather than scenic; book for the food, not the view.

It was an absolutely amazing dinner ! Starting with an excellent service, the staff (young, charming ladies) was super friendly and very helpful! Food and the way it is served is at the top level 😋 I could compare it to top restaurants I had a chance to dine in. In many posh places in Tenerife you won't get such an experience. Highly recommend 👌

We agreed that this one was the best restaurant we’ve had so far after a week here! Food was amazing. We tried the menu’s fish croquetas and tacos, which were delicious, and flavourful. We had the seasonal tomato and sorbet-like cucumber soup which was beautiful and intriguing. We’re amazed by the pork leg with sweet potato purée with salad and pumpkin. We already declined the desserts but after we looked at the menu, we got the goat cheesecake with guava jam and almond crumble. It was divine! Smoky goat cheese and tartness of the jam… If we could give the service a 12 we would’ve done it. Our server was attentive, explained each of the dish on the menu and delightful. We were supper happy and had a nice meal tho the weather is drizzly and grey. Totally recommend this! Oh! And the location is not far from main attractions, on the roof of the parking building, perfect for summery outdoor dinner!

Fantastic place to eat. Staff were friendly and helpful. The tapas was delicious and inventive, and very reasonably priced - really lived up to all the other reviews! Local cuisine with a twist and we were full after 3 plates - the goat taco in particular is one not to miss!
