About

Bar Parada Cerveceria works well for lunch or early dinner in La Orotava, especially if you can sit by the calm square and historic buildings. The food signal is broader than a simple beer bar: tuna tataki, prawns in filo with basil and honey, Iberian pork, mushroom risotto, grilled salmon, burgers and local wine all appear in reviews.

Most guests praise the food, setting and value, but service is not perfectly consistent. One visitor had a poor table near the toilets and felt the food and scenery did not match the price. If you want the best version, arrive before the lunch rush and ask for an outdoor or square-facing table.

We had a great time here on 1 May - not many other places were open given the public holiday but we stumbled upon this place and were not disappointed. We had G&T while we decided if we wanted to stay - we saw other people ordering food that looked great and decided to go for it with two starters - we were very happy. We had the tuna tatami special and the prawns in filo with basil and honey (this was an amazing flavour combination) then shared the Secret Iberico pork main with local potatoes. All was fantastic and service very good too. Not the cheapest place but food, service and atmosphere all good. Local wine very good.

Shrimp in Parmesan sauce—so delicious! Mushroom risotto—absolutely delicious! All in all, no complaints about the food—everything was delicious!

We were here for lunch during our sightseeing tour in the town (apparently highest town in Spain as the volcano le teide is part of it). The food was very good (highly recommend the hamburger and the ceaser salad as well as the grilled salmon with artichokes). Friendly service; tables on the corner of a nice calm square looking at a historical building. Prices are very agreeable. Serves good coffee as well. Might be difficult to get a table if you arrive after 1pm for lunch…

Promised more then what it delivered. The food is good but nothing crazy. Its a safe place to go if in an hurry but it won't leave a mark.

Probably the worst service we had in Tenerife. We were seated right in front of the toilets with doors that can’t be closed from outside, despite initially we were asking for a different table. For the price, both the food and the “scenery” were disappointing.
