About

Bar Farina is a small independent restaurant in La Orotava where the menu feels local rather than built from tourist staples. Reviews praise Spanish and Canarian dishes, friendly explanations from the staff, generous portions, house wine and beef tenderloin with parmesan.

The room can be lively and a bit noisy, so it suits a local meal more than a quiet formal dinner. Portions are large enough that over-ordering is easy; ask before stacking too many dishes on the table.

The best and most delicious food we had in Tenerife. The menu is very different from other restaurants. It's not necessarily focused on tourists which is a good thing. We were glad to see other foods than the typical English breakfast or pasta/pizza. The staff is very friendly and took some time to explain the dishes to is.

Great place and great food. Don't order too much, portions can be quite large. Staff is nice. Inside a bit noisy, but still good enough to have a conversation. Staff is friendly and helpfull. Very recommended.

We both had the beef tenderloin with parmesan. It was tender and delicious. The house wine was also lovely, we had three glasses each! This is a small independently run place, the staff were really friendly, especially the lady who served us. This made for a great atmosphere in the place. Great local food. Thoroughly recommend.
