Great place. Great atmosphere. Definitely you need to try it. True italian food. Masterpiece. Best cannoli I’ve ever tried. Unfortunately no photo 😁 make it yourself
Italian restaurant
4.8 (5)La Laguna20-30 €

Big Nonna Tenerife is an Italian restaurant in La Laguna for pizza, cannoli and a warm, family-style dinner rather than a formal restaurant evening. The place leans into “nonna” cooking: generous Italian food, a full table and a room that tries to feel like a home.
Pizza and atmosphere are the safest reasons to come. Most visitor notes are positive about the food and mood, while one recent guest described a cold arrival without a reservation close to dinner time. Treat it as a place to book, arrive clearly within service hours and enjoy as an Italian night in the centre of La Laguna.

Wonderful food, wonderful staff, everyone was very friendly and there was a great atmosphere. We arrived when it was full but the staff went out of their way trying to find a spot for us. Wholeheartedly recommend this place :)

The food was very good, however, the service… As we got there, by the door they put a rope barrier, while inside there were plenty of free tables, which felt a bit weird. We entered and walked all the way to the end of the restaurant to ask if we could have dinner (it was about 21:30). There was one waiter and the two chefs in the open kitchen looking at us like it was an inconvenience that we showed up, very unwelcoming and rude, didn’t even say hi until we asked. We sat down regardless but it just felt so weird. After that, another waiter showed up, he was okay. Again, it was 21:30 and the place was not about to close, maybe they were tired and it was a Sunday evening but it just felt very uncomfortable. Of note, while we were having dinner, other people showed up and sat down for dinner too. Gutted we had that experience because the food was unreal!
