Teide Cycling Puerto de la Cruz

Teide Cycling bike rent is super!. Amalia & Aldo are very kind and hulpfull. They know the nicest routes on Tenerife. This was my second time at Tenerife, I will come back next year!👌

Who we are and our expectations: 3 very experienced club cyclists from the Peak District, UK. We prefer to hire than take our own bikes, and look for carbon with discs and either Ultegra or 105. We prefer to avoid unnecessarily low gearing, as we're reasonably strong. We do not need premium options and aim to get good value from a hire.

How we used Teide Cycling: We hired 3 road bikes for 6 consecutive days. These were 2 x Ridley Fenix (mechanical Ultegra) and 1 x Giant TCR (mechanical 105, I think). The price was very reasonable for the spec level.

Our experience: Amalia was very quick and helpful in responses to queries prior to booking. They were happy for us to collect the bikes the afternoon before the scheduled booking, accommodated any adjustments we requested when collecting the bikes, and provided feedback on our planned routes. The bikes showed some signs of cosmetic wear (which I see as more of a reflection of the disappointing way people neglect their hire bikes than a criticism of those providing the hire), but were mechanically sound. We covered over 400 miles. We were not charged extra for inner tubes used for punctures, which can sometimes be the case. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I see no reason not to recommend Teide Cycling.

Charming road bike rental shop. You can choose between Ridley and Giant bikes. We had a Ridley Fenix and a Giant TCR, both equipped with Ultegra groupsets. You can also choose between rim and disc brakes.

Amalia manages the office, speaks excellent English, and is very helpful with route planning and any questions about Tenerife. Her husband, a finisher of the Race Across America, makes sure all the bikes are in top condition for the next rides. Absolutely professional. Thank you for 3 incredible days on the bike!

Hi,I was looking for a shop to hire a bike from for a week in Puerto de la Cruz.A group of cyclists on lovely bikes stopped outside my hotel,we got chatting and basically they had hired their bikes from a shop 5 minutes down the road and could not recommended highly enough. So the next day i hired a fantastic road bike from:Teide Cycling @ 39 Calle de Valois,Puerto de la Cruz. The lovely couple whom own the shop Aldo and Amalia could not have been more helpful if they tried. I had an accident on the bike with a drain on my first day and Aldo repaired/sorted bike there and then with no complaints or making me feel bad he was totally efficient and kind and sorted very quickly...I must add that this was an accident of my own making and nothing whatsoever to do with the bike!!! I was traveling /Cycling alone and Amalia could not have been more amazing .She organised me routes,e-mailed me info,advised on Taxis that take bikes to start at a different location if you did so wish and on all the information you would ever need. The cost of the bike for a week was incredibly good value in comparison to other places in Puerto de la Cruz and didn't charge anything for being of such great assistance. If you could rate something 100 of 10 I would!!! Perfect ,all ways round,I can't recommend highly enough. Nice bike! Simple but well maintained. I rented the Ridley with Shimano 105. The rear tire was quite worn out and had a cut in it. After pointing that out they changed it and brought it to me at the hotel really top service. So good bike brought me everywhere on the island no problems. The communication was really good and clear. They arranged transport for different starting locations.
