About

Hospiten Bellevue University Hospital is a private hospital contact in Puerto de la Cruz, useful for visitors and residents who need direct hospital routing rather than a small clinic appointment. Use it for current contact details, emergency or specialist routing, insurance questions and language-support checks, not as medical advice.

Current public hours list 24-hour opening, and the Hospiten hospital page points to a broad medical-surgical hospital rather than a single-specialty clinic. Before going, call or use the official channel to confirm which department you need, what documents to bring, whether your insurer is accepted and what language support is available. Patient experience is mixed: several people describe kind nurses, quick ambulance care and attentive reception, while one serious negative account describes a difficult inpatient episode and communication problems.

The treatment I received as a patient was magnificent and much appreciated. Wonderful doctors and nurses. They made me feel that I mattered, and that I wasn't just a number. Thank you for your flawless service, Hospiten Bellevue.

Absolutely fantastic.Ambulance arrived quickly , very professional staff but also kind and friendly. The same applied for the time I spent in urgencias, very quickly assessed ,treated and advised what to do after leaving. A big thank you to everyone, some knew me from being there the day before but came and asked how I was, and I wish you all a very happy Christmas, New Year y Reyes Vivienne 😘

I brought my friend in as she was having difficulty breathing. The front desk staff were so patient and understanding despite the language barrier. They provided us with a translator. A very kind man who helped us obtain provisional health insurance which prevented us from paying a huge fee!! The doctors and nurses were gentle and compassionate with my friend who was, understandably, quite nervous. We received a prompt diagnosis and all the appropriate medications with instructions on how and when to take them. The overall atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, this place saved our holiday and I cannot thank them enough!!

This is a terrible hospital. It brings me no joy to write a review like this.

My wife was brought in with an intestinal blockage. The staff were rude to us both, laughing while providing the care and not paying proper attention. A nasogastric line was placed incorrectly and painfully during what appeared to be a training session and not corrected by the medic in charge. Once we had been transferred to a different hospital we discovered that this had a hugely detrimental effect, luckily it was corrected there. When nauseated, she was handed a hospital plastic bag, not even a proper receptacle. No one paid attention when she was crying out in pain and they were just sitting around doing nothing.

I was refused to go in and see her, the ward was empty,. There was no reason to be refused. When I finally went in most of the staff were sitting around laughing and watching a screen. The receptionist was rude when I was clearly in distress.

Luckily she received proper care at University Hospital in Santa Cruz when we could get her transferred.

Extremely expensive if you don't have insurance and what you pay for is poor care.

I would like to lodge an official complaint.

UPDATE: you can see below they say to contact them. I did so and they never responded. It's just for show. Truly terrible.
