Perfect small little Italian street cafe, with restaurant food. Relaxed sitting with top quality food. Very good value too.
Italian street restaurant
4.6 (5)Santa Cruz de Tenerife10-20 €

Zio Paolo is a small owner-run Italian street restaurant in central Santa Cruz, better for a casual flavour-led meal than a formal dining room. The best reviews talk about pizza, lasagne, parmigiana, Bolognese ragu and tiramisu with the kind of enthusiasm usually reserved for a neighbourhood favourite.
Value is part of the draw, but it is not perfectly consistent. One review found the Bolognese strange and the final bill too high for the wine and coffee, so keep expectations practical and order from the dishes that get the strongest praise. It is closed Saturday and Sunday, with split daytime and evening hours on weekdays.

This was the best pizza i ever had in my life. I also tried the lasagna and it was simply amazing. Great atmosphere, music, cozy, fast and excellent service. Will come back :)

Small, very pleasant and owner-managed authentic Italian restaurant in the middle of Santa Cruz. The price/performance ratio is great. Everything was delicious, from the starter to the main course and the delicious tiramisu. Absolutely a recommendation!

Loved this place. We found it following the high rating on Google, and now we know why ratings are well deserved. If you thing you have tried good original Italian food, you must compare it with Zio Paolo's plates. Parmigiana and Bolognese ragù were so tasty that I forgot to take any pictures. That kind of flavour you only find in the South of Italy at your most talented auntie's place :) The homemade Tiramisu also was superb. Everything served in a friendly and familiar atmosphere, it has been like visiting 2 old good friends. Thank you for having us today!

I had Bolognese which was just really strange. I ask for glass of white Italian wine, ended up with cheapest los molinos Spanish wine (3 euros a bottle in Mercadona). Final Bill was insane 17,60 euros for 8 euros Bolognese, 1 cafe con leche and mentioned before one glass of cheapest white wine.
Avoid this place.
