About

Vinoteca Con Pasion is a Puerto de la Cruz wine bar for people who want local bottles, small plates and a calm room rather than a loud drinks crawl. Reviews mention wine flights, cava, local IPA, croquettes, tropical salad with curried prawns and desserts, with several guests praising the team's recommendations.

It works best as a slow evening stop: wine first, food alongside, conversation without rush. The room can be busy enough that booking ahead is smart, especially if you want a proper table rather than a quick glass.

Guest review summary

Commonly mentioned by visitors.

Wine flights and local recommendations make it useful for discovering Tenerife bottles.

Croquettes, curried-prawn salad and desserts give the food side enough weight.

The calm room suits conversation better than a loud bar crawl.

It can be busy, so book if you want a proper evening table.

This is an amazing wine and tapas experience. The food is very good, and the deserts are excellent. We had the wine flight with two white and two reds, then some cava, and coffee. Definitely worth a visit. The wine list is extensive, so ask for recommendations - each recommendation was excellent.

Nice place with quiet jazzmusic - great food and wine. We tried the wine tasting menu. And you can get the local IPA beer here.

I went with my husband to celebrate my 70th birthday. I loved the decor, atmosphere and general vibe of the place. The service was great with very friendly waiters. The food came quickly and we enjoyed the many offerings from the menu. We ordered two at a time and loved all six items we tried. The wine pairings were perfectly suggested. It was nice to celebrate with a complimentary glass of cava too. Thanks again. We will be back soon

A lovely restaurant with an excellent wine menu. A small but interesting food menu with beautifully prepared tapas and salads. The croquettes were 10/10 and the tropical salad with curried prawns was our favourite salad of the 2 week holiday. Update- We visited again this week and had amazing food and wine. The restaurant gets extremely busy, so book in advance if possible.

Would have never found it without Google Maps, despite being minutes from the main strip.

Great wee place though.

Small but well formed tapas menu. They do a bit of Med/Eastern fusion. The peanut chicken is interesting, enjoyed it. The prawn with curry is just excellent. As are the anchovies.

But anyway, it's a wine bar, and the selection is vast, and all heroically local (some from Iberia, but mostly much closer). Tried the Brut Valeoro, a sparkling wine from just up the hill. Stupendous. You won't get these wines at home because they don't make so much, but try them when you are here.
