About

Uluwatu is a second-floor Asian-Peruvian grill in Playa de las Americas with a Bali-inspired room built for golden-hour dinners. The entrance is inside the downstairs restaurant, so head upstairs rather than waiting at the wrong door. Once you are there, the strongest review signals are the view, warm service and dishes such as tonkatsu, ceviche, steak, guacamole and desserts.

This is more of a styled evening out than a casual Asian stop. Cocktails, mocktails, birthday touches and sunset tables make it work for celebrations, while the food has enough detail to avoid being only a view restaurant. The bar can slow down at peak times and prices run higher, so book it for the full setting, not for a quick cheap dinner.

Had a great dinner at Uluwatu. The food was excellent, especially the steak, and the mocktails were great too. We got a table by the window with a lovely view of the palm trees and the beach area at night.

A special shoutout to Eleonora, who was fantastic. We had quite a few questions about the menu and ingredients, and she answered everything professionally while being genuinely friendly and welcoming. Service like that really makes a difference.

One tip for future visitors: we accidentally spent about 10 minutes waiting in the queue for the restaurant downstairs before realizing Uluwatu is actually on the second floor. The entrance is inside the downstairs restaurant, so don’t make the same mistake we did—just walk in and head upstairs.

Great food, great service, and a beautiful atmosphere. Would definitely come back.

Lovely atmosphere, we’re celebrating so had complimentary bubbly. View is amazing from wherever you sit and the decor is lovely. Food was delicious and really well cooked and presented. Sameer was amazing patient as I didn’t know what to have polite and well spoken. Would 100% recommend!

A place with a strong identity. You can clearly feel a Bali / Uluwatu inspiration in the design, lighting, and overall rhythm. The venue is built for golden hour moments: sunset, music, and a chilled yet stylish atmosphere.

The decor is absolutely beautiful and highly photogenic — every corner feels like a set. The visual experience is genuinely striking.

Impeccable service, with a special mention for Francesca: present, fluid, attentive, she clearly elevates the overall experience.

The food is a very pleasant surprise overall:

* 🍽️ Tonkatsu excellent — crispy on the outside, soft inside, very well executed * 🥗 Ceviche nice and fresh * 🥑 Guacamole ok, simple but effective * 🍚 Rice slightly too salty * 🍰 Desserts are top tier, a real highlight at the end of the meal

Strong points:

* Stunning sunset view and atmosphere * Very cohesive and immersive artistic direction * Food above expectations for this kind of venue * Strong service level, especially thanks to Francesca

Areas to improve:

* Bar service can be slow during peak hours * Prices slightly high, but consistent with the setting * Table organization could be smoother when busy

Conclusion: A place with real potenti

Great experience for my 26th birthday! Sameer, our server was great, he told us about the dishes and was very knowledgeable. We had happy hour cocktails/mocktails which were great too! Food was lovely, great vibe in the restaurant and lovely view and they even brought me out a little mochi with a candle and sung happy birthday!😂

Amazing experience. The athmosphere, the food, everything is perfect. This is the third time I'm here and I will keep coming back. The food is incredible, delicious and served beautifully. Today was a special ocasion for me and my bestfriend, since we are going to be separated for a while, which led to a lot of emotions and crying at some point of the night. Two persons from the staff, Mikele and Francesca, who I can't thank enough, saw me crying with my friend and in just 2minutes they came with a plate of chocolates to the table JUST TO CHEER ME UP! Nowadays, sometimes we forget that the simplest gestures can mean the most. They both came to the table to make sure everything is okay. Sweetest guys ever. I will remember this night! So grateful! All of the staff are amazing people who make you feel like you are at home. Shout out to Evan as well, who always welcomes us with a smile and lets us choose the best table that we want! Thank you! 🙏🏻✨ And some picture of the food which looks like art, WHILE BEING CRAZY DELICIOUS!😂❤️
