Tapas bar and vermuteria
5.0 (5)Puerto de la Cruz15-25 €

Tertuliando is a Puerto de la Cruz vermuteria where the drink list and the food list understand each other. The official concept points to vermouth on tap, gildas, oysters and sharing plates, while reviews add the useful details: scallops in garlic butter, croquetas, crispy wonton with ragout, pimientos de Padron and local wine.
The best signal is restraint. One reviewer praised the waiter for telling them not to over-order, which is exactly the kind of service a tapas bar needs. The menu is not huge, but the stored reviews make it sound focused rather than thin: order a few good plates, drink vermouth or local wine, and keep the meal conversational.

Guest review summary
Commonly mentioned by visitors.
Vermouth on tap, gildas and oysters give the bar a clear identity.
Scallops in garlic butter, croquetas and crispy wonton with ragout are praised as proper sharing plates.
Service gets credit for helping guests order the right amount, not just selling more food.
The menu is relatively small, so choose it for focused tapas rather than a long, broad dinner list.

Some of the best tapas we've ever had in Spain. The food, the portion sizes, the best vermouth, and a lovely waiter who advised us well not to order more food! Outstanding experience, can't wait to get back.

What an amazing find! This restaurant is small but the reception is warm and welcoming. Out waiter Filipe was so lovely and made great recommendations. The menu is small but perfectly formed and the tapas were incredible. Truly homemade and very delicious - we couldn’t pick a favourite. The scallops with garlic butter were to die for, the croquetas and the crispy wonton filled with ragout were savoury and delicious, and we thought the pimenton de Padron were the best we ever had. Highly recommend for exceptional food in a local venue. We will be back for more vermouth on tap!

The food was lovely what we had and good portion sizes but not a big choice. The staff friendly and efficient but hard to judge the atmosphere as there was only 3 tables in use as it was early pm.

True local place with real spanish food. Our waiter was the best, recommending us what to even drink.
