About

Tasca La Trinchera is a distinctive tapas stop for Canarian bites with more character than the standard tourist plate. Black pudding parcels with sweet onion are the clearest signature, while shredded goat, grilled cheese with palm honey and Tenerife wine make the meal feel rooted in the island.

It works best as a light meal or snack-style stop rather than a full dinner restaurant. The map position may confuse, so double-check the location before walking over.

A hidden gem worth of being discovered not only by the locals. We very much enjoyed the home made parcels with black pudding and sweet onion, shredded goat meat on toast and the grilled cheese with palm honey and gofio (flour from roasted cereal, giving it a distinct taste), accompanied by white wine from Tenerife. There was only a little space left for the cheesecake and a barraquito but we were glad we gave these a try as well. An authentic experience with lovely people serving us.

Great food and wine. Chinese-style rib rolls are amazing! Difficult to find though, On Google maps the position is wrong. It is actually at a different corner

Former Tasca El Tonique, now called La Trinchera, which will surely become a classic again, since it is very cozy. We ate homemade almogrote (it was so good there was not even time to take a photo ;P), avocado hummus, black pudding and caramelized onion little parcels whose sweet and salty combination we loved, the buen rollito canario, which is a roll stuffed with potatoes, corn cobs, and ribs with cilantro mojo that was brutal, sirloin tips with garlic, natural fries, and piquillo peppers that were spectacular 👌 and finally for dessert a tres leches to finish, always with a sweet moment. They have a lot of variety of wines that we will try on the next visits. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Highly recommended 👍

Staff were nice so I hate to leave a bad review but people should know that this is not a dinner place, this is a bar with hot snacks. Maybe we picked badly but everything we had could have been prepared by the barman
