About

Tasca De La Mar El Mero is a tiny counter-and-table restaurant where watching the cooking is part of the experience. Daily specials, chef interaction, wine advice, beef and a creative stuffed-pepper dish make the room feel more personal than its size suggests.

It is best for a slower dinner with dessert and conversation, not a rushed meal. There are only a few tables and bar seats, and Spanish helps because there may be no written menu. If you can get a counter seat, that is where the small-room format makes the most sense.

This place is wow, deffinitelly a must try! We got a stuffed yellow paper with nashed potatoes and minced meat, covered in a spanish chocolate sauce-amazing. The beef was also cooked to perfection, very tender and flavorfull. Loved the fact that the food is vooked in front of you. Thank you for the service and great dinner.

I really love this restaurant for several reasons. Firstly it really serves amazing food that is classic Italian cousine with a modern note. Secondly you have a really lovely team that makes you feel welcome. Thirdly this place is cosy and really something special.

I highly recommend you try to catch one of the spots near the counter so that you can observe the cooking. Food wise I highly recommend you order all courses (starters e.g parmigiana or ham/cheese platter, 1st dish, meat/fish and a dessert) as all of these are really fantastic. Personally I felt the Beef Lasagna, Angus Steak and Tiramisu are must haves here.

Really cute intimate little restaurant. Has seating for around 15 - inc 7 at the bar. Recommend the bar seats as you get more interaction with the chef and the servers.

Speaking Spanish is very useful here as they don’t normally have a written menu (it’s all daily specials) - we don’t speak much Spanish and neither does the chef or the waiting team speak much English. but the waitress was incredibly friendly and we made do. They also have an English menu but I think it’s not as comprehensive as the daily specials.

Food was yummy and well priced (see receipt). They do heat up lasagna in microwave - but it tastes great and is obviously made fresh so no complaints. Fully recommend the sirloin or the entrecôte - both were delicious and perfectly cooked.

Great wine selection too.

The place is very small with only two or three tables. Easy to arrive walking. Nice ambiance, music and lights. Very detailed (or even too much) explanations by the chef about dishes and wines. All the dishes where great, desserts included. The kitchen is right behind the bar. Good but priced Spanish wines. More than 40€ per person.

Went with a friend a full day at #feriamodatfe and was looking for a place to have a great glass of wine and something to nibble with it .. this was the perfect place although it’s really really small we managed to get a place on the bar where we treated to a great Logroño by the glass and cheese platter .. they have a menu which is fixed but with daily specialities .. they do meat but cater for vegetarians and the wine is superb . The service is great and the chef actually prepares the meal in front of you as it’s an open kitchen
