Restaurant Mayte is a truly special place! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the terrace has a superb view of the sea, ideal for enjoying a relaxing dinner. The dishes are delicious and cooked with fresh ingredients - the paella and grilled fish are absolutely exceptional, and the portions are generous. The staff are friendly, attentive and always ready to offer suitable recommendations. The quality-price ratio is excellent, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. An authentic restaurant, with tradition, which I recommend wholeheartedly to anyone visiting Tenerife.

Mayte was and still stays the best ! I love it when I go to a Spanish restaurant and all the staff speaks Spanish, wonderfull!!! Very nice and attentive staff, from the first to the last. The red wine Sangria was great, the San Miguel beer also. The paella, you won't find a better one! The garlic prawns starter tasty and a generous portion! Spanish restaurant with great Spanish food, unfortunately hard to find around these days ! Top service, top food, we will return by the time we leave.

The mix paella is decent. But ordering the large beef chop was definitely a mistake. It’s tough and hard to chew. After we complain, the kitchen re-cook it. Still it’s inedible for us. The service is good. It takes a bit long for the dish to be served. Sunset view is nice. Overall, I’d recommend this place if you’re here for the sunset view during dinner, but the food itself is quite average.

Firstly, the view is absolutely spectacular - they’ve positioned the tables perfectly so you get the full sweep of the beautiful coastline. It’s one of those spots where you could happily sit for hours just enjoying the scenery.

The food itself is decent - very much what you’d expect from a local Spanish restaurant geared toward tourists. The menu is broad, with pizzas and pastas sitting alongside Spanish staples. Nothing groundbreaking, but perfectly fine if you’re after a simple meal with a view.

Where things unfortunately fell down was the service. One older waiter in particular gave off an air of chaos and visible frustration. I don’t mind a bit of character, but when you’ve been waiting 15 minutes for starters and politely ask for an update, being told “the food will come when it’s ready” doesn’t feel acceptable. A younger waiter also seemed similarly hurried, and when I asked him about our order he simply waved toward the kitchen before calling the older waiter back over to repeat the same dismissive line.

In short: go for the view, accept that the food is fine but unremarkable, and brace yourself for service that can feel more frazzled than friendly.
