Bakery, cafe and chocolate shop
4.6 (5)Puerto de la Cruz

Relieve is a Puerto de la Cruz bakery/cafe that works when you want a bigger pastry counter, coffee and breakfast options in one place. It has a broad public signal, and visitors point to good coffee, tostadas, a large cake and pastry selection, modern setting and even house-made chocolate.
The useful caveat is that it can be busy and not always frictionless for visitors. People mention queues, difficulty finding an English menu and one billing/menu-price mismatch, so this is a strong pastry-and-breakfast option but one where it is worth checking the menu and bill carefully.

Good coffee, great tostadas and amazing bakery, what else would you want for breakfast? The service was great and the setting is really cute and modern. They do their own chocolate there and the woman working there was really nice, we of course bought some chocolate! Would definitely come back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Delightful Hidden Gem in Puerto de la Cruz We stopped by this charming little café for coffee and pastries, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The selection of cakes and pastries is impressive — so extensive that choosing just one is a delightful challenge. Each item we tried was exquisite, with perfect balance of flavor and freshness. The coffee was exceptional, clearly made from freshly ground beans and prepared with care. The staff were wonderfully warm and attentive, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. A visit here is an absolute pleasure — highly recommended. ☕🍰

We have visited this place several times during our stay in Puerto De la Cruz: excellent breakfasts, tasty coffee, and wonderful pastries. It can get busy, and sometimes there's a queue, but it's worth waiting for, for sure.

we were sceptical when we first entered, there was no menu to be found and everything was in spanish (we’re english), so we were not sure what to do. we sat near the counter trying to find a menu online but could not find much, especially not in english. we went up to ask the staff and they told us to sit down and someone would come over. about 10 minutes later someone did come, but we still had not seen a menu so we asked again and were given a qr code. ordering was a bit difficult as there was not much english spoken and we only know a little spanish, so we ended up pointing at the menu.
the food came out very quickly and it was really nice. prices are great as well. the only downside is the portions are quite small. the bread was very thin and my avocado toast had more rocket than avocado. we were also not sure how to pay at the end but ended up going to the counter and paid cash.
we would come back again because the food was good and reasonably priced, we just wish there was a bit more guidance when you first walk in. if you’re an anxious person abroad (like me) i probably wouldn’t recommend!
we went at 2/3pm and most tables were full. i can imagine it is a lot busier at bre

!!! Please double-check the prices on the menu and what you’re actually charged to avoid overpaying !!!
The food was tasty and the atmosphere was nice - overall, the place has a good vibe. Unfortunately, we had an issue with the bill. We ordered a set menu that included coffee and dessert, but they were charged separately. Also, the prices on the menu didn’t match the prices on the receipt. As a result, we overpaid by about 23%. About 30 minutes after we pointed this out, they refunded the difference, which we appreciated. Still, these kinds of mistakes affect the overall impression. The place is good, but more attention to detail would make the experience much better.
Relieve is at C. Luis de la Cruz, 3A, 38400 Puerto de la Cruz, Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The current schedule in this card is daily from 07:30 to 21:30.
Start with the pastry counter or a breakfast stop; the house-made chocolate is the more distinctive detail if it is available.
People mention queues at busy times, no obvious English menu, and one bill/menu-price mismatch, so check the menu and bill carefully.
