About

Ramen Kagura Santa Cruz is a branch of the Ramen Kagura chain on a street with more than one ramen shop, with both indoor and outdoor tables and a broth that most reviewers describe as tasty. Starters and a large shared bowl work well for two people who want to try a few things without overordering.

Portion size is the most repeated complaint: several visitors, including ones ordering individually rather than sharing, felt the ramen or curry portions were small for the roughly 15 to 17 euro price point, and one reported low-quality ingredients in a meat dish. If you order, sharing a larger bowl between two people gets better value than a single smaller order, and it helps to keep expectations grounded rather than assuming Tenerife ramen prices match Japan.

We had a couple of starters and a 400g ramen bowl which was more than enough for two people. Everything looked very good and tasted delicious.

The staff was very attentive and friendly!

There are two ramen shops in this street and this is the one you should choose if you're looking to have a good time.

The food was really delicious but the katsu curry was a very small portion compared to the ramen! Unfortunately the katsu curry didn't leave us full. Otherwise it's extremely nice. The only downside is that the chopsticks they offer are quite bad quality.

The interior of the café is nice enough. The Asian food is decent, but it doesn’t quite taste like it does in Asia. Nothing to complain about, just not the real deal. There are tables both inside and outside.

According to reviews i expected something special but in reality it was more like "average of the average". I ordered Karaage kurry and the best from it was rice, on the other side meat contained hard and unchewable particles which i had to spit out. Portion was small. I know it is located in the tourist city centre but the price,15€..., is not adequate for what you get.

Very poor ramen. If you want to pay €17 for a bowl of spaghetti-like noodles in broth with literally a single spoon of minced meat and one leaf of pak choi, then this is the place for you. The broth itself was tasty, but the ingredients were embarrassingly poor. I was even charged extra for half an egg. It’s honestly shameless to treat Japanese cuisine like this. I strongly advise against ramen on Tenerife in general — absurdly expensive compared to the quality — but this place is a complete rip-off. A bowl of spaghetti with one spoon of minced meat for €17. Practically zero protein. Minimal nutritional value.
