i didn’t intend to eat here as had planned an itinerary to visit a lot of the busier restaurants but on my last night i wanted something closer to my accommodation so wandered out to la tabla del rey. i am SO glad i did. this place is a beautiful hidden gem a street away from san telmo with fresh dough woodfired pizza and lots of options for vegetarians. super affordable too -

Although the place is inexpensive, the pizza is refined and delicious.

The service is full of thoughtful touches — e.g. they provide a sharp knife that’s easy to use, and plenty of ice in large drinks (not even all bars do this)

The best pizza in the area! I recommend it a 100% if you are looking for a calm spot to eat pizza and grab a cocktail or a wine or a beer!! The service is amazing!!

If you’re in Puerto de la Cruz, La Tabla del Rey is an absolute must. The staff are amazing — welcoming, attentive, and they truly make you feel at home from the moment you walk in. The place is spotless and cozy, creating the perfect atmosphere to relax and enjoy your meal. And the food? Simply exceptional. Every bite feels thoughtfully prepared, especially the pizza — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. A beautiful spot with great energy, outstanding food, and people who genuinely care. Can’t recommend it enough 🍕
