Vegan pizza

Special-diet pizzeria
4.5 (5)Santa Cruz de Tenerife10-20 €
La Rusticona has a clearer purpose than most small pizzerias in Santa Cruz: gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan pizzas are central to the menu. Reviews praise the vegan pizza, buckwheat bases and staff who explain allergy limits directly, which matters more here than polished restaurant atmosphere.
The format is takeaway or delivery, not a sit-down pizzeria. The important caveat is cross-contact: staff warned one guest that gluten-free pizzas use the same oven as wheat pizzas, so people with coeliac disease or severe allergies should ask carefully before ordering. For less severe restrictions, it is one of the more useful pizza cards in the city.
Pizza
Praised by both vegan and non-vegan guests.
Dietary options
Available with a clear shared-oven caveat for severe allergies.
Pizza base
A specific base option mentioned positively in stored reviews.
Dietary options
Useful for guests avoiding both gluten and dairy.
Format
The card should be used as a takeaway/delivery pizzeria, not a dining room.

Commonly mentioned by visitors.
Vegan pizza and buckwheat bases are praised for taste, not just for being available.
Staff are clear about takeaway format and allergy limits.
Good value appears alongside the special-diet strength.
Shared oven cross-contact is a real caveat for severe gluten allergies, and one guest disliked a four-cheese pizza.

Great little take out pizza place for Gluten free and dairy free. The person who served us (sorry I did not get your name) was very clear on the phone with letting us know it is only take out or delivery. He also warned us about cross contamination as the GF pizza goes in the same oven as regular wheat pizza. We had 2 buckwheat pizzas , one with regular cheese and one with the vegan option. They were both fantastic and I absolutely loved the crust. Hope to come back to taste the chickpea flour option (they were out of it today). Thank you so much for giving us a place where we can have a tasty gluten and dairy free pizza.

Really good Pizza for a good price. Also the staff is very nice. We had a misunderstanding about the order because we could not make up our minds about which one to chose and ended up with one too many Pizzas. They did not argue and instead gave it it to us free of charge. Thanks guys!

Hands down the best vegan pizza I've had in a very long time, the crust is very good indeed + my non vegan friend liked the pizza and ate it so fast he said "this is a sign I like it"
P.s. even the next day eating it cold was good 👍

Terrible! This is supposed to be a 4 formaggi pizza? I have never seen a worse pizza. There is no tomato on a 4 formaggi, and in the menu itself it does not list tomato as an ingredient. Terrible taste, terrible presentation, I hate it. If this was not a take away I would 100% complain
