About

Kiki Restaurante Japones is a compact Japanese restaurant inside Hotel Urban Anaga in Santa Cruz, built for a tasting-menu lunch or dinner rather than a casual sushi stop. The show kitchen, Repsol Guide Sun and cocktail pairings give the meal a clear sense of occasion, and visitors repeatedly praise the quality of the courses, the friendly service and the care from the mixologist.

The small room can feel warm or smoky when several dishes are fired at once, and tasting-menu pacing may be quicker than some guests expect. Come when you want a polished Japanese-fusion experience in the city centre, not a cheap quick meal; prices sit in the higher bracket for Tenerife, but the strongest reviews still describe the Kiki menu as worth planning around.

Guest review summary

Commonly mentioned by visitors.

The Kiki menu feels like a proper occasion, with theatrical presentation and consistently strong flavours.

Cocktail pairings and attentive service are a real part of the experience, not an afterthought.

The show kitchen makes the compact hotel dining room feel more distinctive than a standard sushi restaurant.

The room can feel warm or smoky, and some guests would prefer slower pacing between courses.

Everything we ordered was incredibly delicious — I was genuinely pleasantly surprised. The service was good and attentive. The only downside is that the dining area felt a bit stuffy, with limited ventilation, and the smoke from some dishes created a strong, somewhat overwhelming smell. Prices are high, but overall I can still recommend this restaurant.

Worth to visit when you are in Santa Cruz. It was really delicious, very high quality food and for a decent price. Our food came a little late so they offered us an extra drink on the house. Over all very delicious would defenitily recommend!

Exceptional restaurant in the heart of Santa Cruz. Most of the staff is friendly, the place is not big, but it's cozy. The show kitchen concept is nice if the chefs has at least some interaction with the clients, but they don't even smile. Besides that, the food is great! Everything we've tried was mouthwatering. The only disappointment as taste was the dessert with their "golden egg", but it was served perfectly so it wasn't a problem. Recommend it to everyone that's searching for a good Japanese restaurant with an unique touch!

Where do I begin... Kiki came highly recommended during our stay in Tenerife, so we couldn’t pass up the chance to visit. Whenever possible, I opt for a tasting menu—and this visit was no exception. The service was top-notch. The mixologist was a pleasure to talk to, and we enjoyed the recommended cocktails—both drinks were delicious and paired beautifully with the tasting menu. Each course was a spectacle, from the unique presentation to the theatrical flair surrounding some of the dishes. From the very first plate, the bar was set incredibly high and maintained through each course—right up until the main. That was the only slight letdown of the evening: while everything leading up to it was fantastic and full of flavor, the main—duck—was a bit chewier than expected. Still, it wasn’t enough to take away from the overall experience. One small note: the pacing of service felt a bit rushed at times—we’d barely finished one course before the next arrived. That said, I’d still take that over waiting too long between plates. Thank you for a lovely evening!

We had the plesure to have a lunch at Kiki retaurant and try the "Kiki menu". If you are looking for a quality experience of food then you should stop by. We basically like every single dish, including the dessert. The team knows how to treat customers and make you feel like home.
