About

Joia is a small contemporary Italian pizzeria in Los Cristianos where the pizza itself is the reason to go: soft, light dough, rich tomato sauce, good mozzarella and toppings that go beyond the predictable. Visitors also keep returning to focaccia, tiramisu and the attentive, unhurried service.

The room suits a relaxed dinner or date night more than a quick slice. It is closed on Wednesday, mostly evening-only through the week, and has lunch slots at the weekend.

Guest review summary

Commonly mentioned by visitors.

Soft light dough, rich tomato sauce and good mozzarella make the pizza the main event.

Creative toppings such as Nerano, ragù and aubergine-parmigiana cream give regular pizza fans something to remember.

Focaccia, tiramisu and attentive service make it feel like a relaxed dinner, not a quick slice stop.

Wednesday is closed and the room is small, so dinner is safer with a plan.

Went to JOIA and honestly had such a lovely experience. The service was amazing from start to finish, everyone was so friendly and attentive and made us feel really welcome.

The pizza was unreal, perfectly cooked with the softest dough, rich tomato sauce and amazing mozzarella. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The tiramisu was also one of the best I’ve had, so creamy and balanced perfectly, and the pistachio alcoholic shot was incredible.

Everything felt authentic, fresh and thoughtfully done. Such a gorgeous atmosphere for a date night or relaxed dinner. It was the perfect end to our holiday and honestly wish we had found it sooner because we definitely would have gone back again.

Definitely one of our favourite meals in a long time and can’t wait to come back.

Thank you so much for an amazing experience!

This place was so so good! We really fancied pizza and this came up as top rated so we got a taxi down and wasn’t disappointed one bit!

Light & fluffy dough, the garlic focaccia starter has a little more bite as a focaccia dough should but the service was impeccable. Super friendly, well rounded service with a relaxed approach. If you go anywhere to eat in Tenerife then this is the place you should go.

Grazie

A lovely small pizza place with a great atmosphere and truly delicious Italian pizzas. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

On our first visit, we ordered the Nerano Pizza with courgette cream, fior di latte mozzarella, caciotta cheese, and courgette chips. It was a bit of an experiment since I’d never tried pizza with courgette before, and I wasn’t sure what to expect but the flavour was amazing. Light, creamy, and full of character, absolutely delicious!

We also tried the Segreto di Famiglia Pizza, topped with Neapolitan ragú, cheese fondue, parmesan, and basil. The meat was perfectly cooked, rich in flavour, and everything blended beautifully. We enjoyed it so much that we came back a few days later!

On our second visit, we ordered another “experiment” the Parmigiana in Crema Pizza with aubergine parmigiana cream, fior di latte mozzarella, parmesan fondue, and basil. Once again, the taste was unique and surprisingly delicious.

To go with our meals, we had a local beer, which was very nice, and red and white sangria, both of which were refreshing and full of flavour perfect with the pizzas. For dessert, we shared a tiramisu, which was light, fluffy, and absolutely love

An absolute gem. I always appreciate when great reviews truly reflect the experience, and this place delivers. The food is authentic, made with top-quality ingredients, and the setting is charming. We were genuinely surprised to see so many empty tables during our Sunday visit - it deserves to be much busier. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout. Highly recommended.

If you enjoy a good quality pizza, I highly recommend Joia!

This is a small place hidden in a side alley, but don't let the shy appearance full you - the food and service here are impeccable. Also, unlike the more prominent restaurants around the area, Joia offers a more romantic setting for peaceful meal.

The Caprese salad is one of the best I had so far. The pizzas are very good with high quality ingredients - exactly what you'd expect from the genuine Italian pizzeria.

My favourite, however, was the Tris Montanare starter - a beautiful apetiser that prepares you well for the main course.

The service is very professional and the waiting times are low.

We'll definitely visit again!
