About

Forno D'Oro is an Italian restaurant in Playa de las Americas built around a traditional wood-fired oven, visible pizza preparation and a broad menu of pizza, pasta and focaccia. Visitors praise the Italian kitchen team, good service and food that is more substantial than a pizza-only stop.

It is open daily from 13:00 to 23:00. One service review noted confusion over roles at the table, so keep the plan relaxed rather than time-critical, but the dominant pattern is positive food and staff feedback.

Guest review summary

Commonly mentioned by visitors.

Wood-fired pizza, open-kitchen preparation, pasta and focaccia are the best-backed food signals.

Italian staff and visible pizza-making give the restaurant more credibility than a generic strip pizzeria.

Families can use it for pizza and pasta when everyone wants a familiar Italian meal.

Several reviews mention disorganised service, so avoid it when timing is tight.

Fantastic restaurant, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Almost all staff was itallian and the kitchen was fully italian you could see them bake the pizzas trough the window. They had a traditional wood fueled stone oven. True Itallian quisine. We came back multiple days because it was just that good. We are very picky in getting the right quality for price ratio. And this restaurant went way beyond our expectations. The view and location may not be the best in playa las americas. But the food was. 10/10 experience and if there is one thing I will miss the most it's this restaurant.

We booked for 8pm on 6 April 2026, arrived on time and were immediately shown to our seats by a welcoming & friendly woman. I was feeling unwell so asked for some water for the table, but was informed (albeit politely) that it wasn’t her job. Our waiter arrived apologetically after 16minutes to take our order. We waited 20 mins for our starters, and our main meals arrived at 9pm. I ordered a rosemary focaccia, which was more of a flat bread, and was rather tasty. I then had a baked goats cheese & walnut salad but found that there was too much honey dressing which made the dish off putting for me. My husband enjoyed his meal (mussels in a smoky, chilli infused tomato sauce followed by tagliatelle scoglia) and our 8yo son enjoyed his cheese & pineapple pizza. He wasn’t so impressed at them not serving any hot chocolate or chocolate milkshake but he was able to have a glass of milk. I didn’t visit the bathroom facilities. Overall, the serving staff appeared to be disorganised and the place had a generally chaotic feel to it. Unfortunately we wouldn’t choose to return.

The food here was nice, but unfortunately the service was really lacking. Everyone was nice and pleasant but they seemed a bit disorganised (possibly short staffed, or maybe just new staff?). Our order was taken fairly quickly but it was almost impossible to get someone’s attention of we needed something. For example I just wanted to ask for some Parmesan cheese for my pasta and I just couldn’t get anyone’s attention…didn’t ruin the meal or anything but it was just a bit frustrating. I think this place is relatively new, so I hope they’ll get themselves organised a bit better because it has great potential. It’s right in the middle of the main strip so the prices reflect this, it’s a little more non the expensive side - which would be fine if they could get their service improved.
