El Ventorrillo

Recommend this place if you want to try authentic canarian cuisine! We found this through a recommendation otherwise would be hard to find! Usually other tapas places are trying to please the tourists but this place serves some authentic dishes! At first sight the menu can be confusing as it’s unconventional unlike other places but the staff explained it to us and made recommendations on how much to order as we were going to order a little bit too much! The portion sizes are huge! They also serve bread and sauces on the house! The black pudding was different from what we find in the uk! My husband said this is the best thing he has tasted on this whole holiday! They even accommodated to cook just a plain roast chicken for our 14month old without salt! Staff is nice and friendly ! Service is quick !

One of our favourite restaurants in Tenerife. So nice to get local food instead of the usual tourist stuff along the beaches. Nice family run restaurant.

We visited El Ventorrillo with our family during our stay in Tenerife last week and absolutely loved it. The food was delicious, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and they gave us great recommendations for both the main dishes and desserts. I had the goat stew, which was excellent, and we tried three of their most popular desserts — including the mango passion fruit mousse, which was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was warm and family-friendly, and a special thanks goes to our waiter, Aitami, who was exceptionally kind and cheerful. We highly recommend this place to everyone!

Highly recommended — don’t miss it! Authentic and amazing food, definitely not a tourist trap, even in the busy tourist area. The chefs clearly care about their cooking, and everything we tried was delicious. The Iberian pork was incredibly tender, juicy, and full of flavor — I’m already missing it! The cuttlefish was equally fantastic, cooked to perfection. A must-visit for anyone in the area!

My friends and I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. We arrived at 4pm and they still served meals. The food is tasty and local, the staff and is kind and helpful and the atmosphere is also local and non turisty. If you can, visit this restaurant and avoid the turist traps in the heavry turist areas.
