A Perfect Day at Bodegas Monje

We really enjoyed our time at Bodegas Monje! The wine tasting and tour offered a fascinating glimpse into their winemaking process and historic cellar. Just the right balance of information, history and winemaking.

We sampled four different wines, each paired with four differently aged cheeses, which made for a truly memorable tasting experience. The setting itself is absolutely stunning, with panoramic views of the vineyards and the Atlantic Ocean beyond.

After the tour, we stayed for a delicious lunch on the patio that perfectly complemented the wines. The Croquetas de Jamón (Iberico ham croquettes with cheese) and the fire-roasted suckling pig were both exceptional. Perfectly prepared and full of flavor.

It was the ideal combination of great food, nice wine, and warm hospitality. We highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Tenerife. A good escape from the touristy, overbuilt vibe of the south. A true must-do for wine lovers! 🍷

We were given a bodega visit and menu degustación as a present while visiting Tenerife and it was wonderful. Ari did our tour and it was great - informative and interesting! The lunch was fabulous - 5 courses and 5 wines, and it did not disappoint. The waiters/waitresses/general staff were warm and friendly, and the atmosphere in general was lovely. A thoroughly enjoyable visit. The wine is also fabulous - we bought a bottle to take home. If we return to Tenerife, we'll certainly visit again!

Really enjoyable visit. Very friendly and helpful staff and an interesting guide to the process of wine-making. The wine is of a good quality as is the beer and extensive food menu. The dining terrace with amazing views of Mount Teidi just adds to the experience.

Great experience. Well deserved 5 stars! Everything was great. Parking, location, view, all perfect. The guided tour was very informational. The food was the best! We tasted the 2 beers and some wines and they all tasted great. Best experience we had on this island. Special thanks to Abraham.

was very disappointed with this experience. The so-called workshops were poorly organized from start to finish. Saying it was a proper workshop is a big exaggeration. The host briefly showed how things are done and then told us to do everything ourselves at the tables, without clear instructions or structure. The food portions were very small, the amount of wine was also minimal, and what was most surprising to me was that the same wine glass was used for everything – from white wine to red wine. I have honestly never experienced this before at a winery. Overall, it felt rushed, chaotic, and clearly aimed at tourists, with little attention to quality or detail. You could really feel that it was done “just to get it over with.” Unfortunately, I do not recommend this place.
