About

Abordo is a Los Cristianos seafood restaurant with a long local history and a nautical dining room, not just a resort fish stop. Squid ink rice, seafood paella, Galician-style octopus, garlic king prawns, razor clams and fried small fish are the clearest food signals in reviews. The owner-led fish selection and the mix of locals and visitors make the place feel more rooted than many seafront options.

Come here when seafood is the plan and you have time to sit properly. Paella and rice dishes can take 45 minutes at busy periods, so starters like padron peppers or croquetas make sense while you wait. Service gets warm, detailed praise, with live piano or singing adding to the room on some evenings.

Food was amazing. Fresh and reasonably priced; well-seasoned and balanced. Had paella pescado mari, padron peppers and croquetas. About the only place I could find that had squid ink rice too, and better than the paellas I had at other places. I rarely leave reviews but the service was such a 10/10 I have to. The maitre d’ was lovely. She was very helpful when we were still deciding on the restaurant and checked in at the end of our dinner while seeking our opinion on the experience. Most importantly she told off her colleagues’ assumption of our ethnicity (they had ‘nihao’-ed us enthusiastically). The waiter that served us was singing and humming to himself and constantly checking in on every table — made the place feel so welcoming. I could tell the restaurant cares about their staff and community from the way they work so happily and the fact that locals passed by to chitchat with the staff. Ambience was tied together with a great pianist-singer and the restaurant was filled with locals too! Always a good sign, will be back for sure.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I have traveled to over 20 countries, and this restaurant is definitely one of my best culinary experiences!

Not only is the food outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared—but it’s the people who truly make this place special. You can immediately feel the passion and heart that goes into everything here.

The warmth, the atmosphere, and the attention to detail made my visit unforgettable. I have rarely felt so welcome.

If it were possible, I would give it 10 stars!

For me, this is an absolute hidden gem—I will definitely be coming back! ❤️

Very fresh seafood and nice black rice paella. The razor clams are incredibly fresh and rich. The little shrimp and paella are also very good. I especially like the energy and warm attitude of the staff

The paella with squid ink rice and seafood was very tasty, definitely worth 5 stars, but we had to wait 45-50 min for it. Meanwhile we had some nice pescaditos fritos and sangría. For dessert we had a creamy cake with Ferrero Rocher and ice cream. When the bill came they wanted to charge us for bread we didn't have, but they forgot to charge us for the dessert (so they were happy when we were honest with them). Quite hectic ambience, but all in all friendly staff and a nice restaurant.
