About

Playa de Las Vistas is the south-coast beach you choose when the day needs to work. The bay is wide, pale-sanded and protected by breakwaters, with Los Cristianos on one side, Playa de las Américas on the other and a promenade that solves food, toilets, shops and stroller logistics.

Time needed:
1-4 hours
Entry fee:
Free beach access
Transport:
Easy by bus, taxi or walking from Los Cristianos / Las Américas
Parking:
Town/resort parking nearby; pressure rises midday
Best time:
Morning for easier space, shade choices and calmer logistics
Weather:
Usually more sheltered than exposed wild beaches
Best for:
Easy swimming, promenade services and accessible beach logistics
Interesting fact:
An artificial island fountain shoots seawater up from inside the bay

It is not wild, and it is rarely empty. Its value is reliability: easy swimming, accessible setup, a long enough beach to absorb crowds, and even the odd detail of an artificial island fountain throwing seawater into the air.

Useful before you go

Las Vistas is one of the easiest family beach choices, especially if food and walking distance matter.

Guest review summary

Commonly mentioned by visitors.

Families value the clean sand, beach-guard presence, showers and straightforward access between Los Cristianos and Las Américas.

The promenade, cafes, restaurants and shops make food and logistics easy without leaving the beach area.

The wide bay, clear water and breakwater protection make the beach feel reliable compared with exposed coastlines.

It can be crowded, especially in peak season and around the easiest access points.

The setting is practical and urban rather than wild or secluded.

Beach sellers and busy promenade movement can interrupt the calm if you want complete quiet.

Lovely, large beach which is always popular and busy but without feeling overcrowded, at least at this time of year (late October). We've had no problems getting sunbeds and the prices for hire - €4 each for the day - are reasonable.

The water is generally fairly calm, or as calm as you're going to get with the Atlantic, and there's some fantastic snorkelling to be had around any of the artificial rock formations. There's a huge variety of fish there, that presumably most beachgoers are completely unaware of, and the shoals seem largely unfazed as you drift past watching them.

Good accessibility, cleaned daily, beach guard at work. Showers at the entrance. Waves enjoyable. Gets deep semi fast.

The Beach of the Views in Tenerife is a beautiful and clean spot to relax and enjoy the sun. The water is clear, the sand is well-maintained, and overall, it’s a great place to spend the day.

What brings the rating down slightly is the constant presence of people trying to sell things — massages, drinks, knockoff items, and other things you’re probably not interested in. It can get a bit annoying when you’re just trying to unwind.

Still, if you can look past that, it’s definitely worth a visit for the clean beach and the overall chill vibe. Just be ready to say “no, gracias” quite a few times!
