Playa La Jaquita has three small bays with black volcanic sand and calm water. Waves are usually mild, so it’s also good for kids. On either side of the beach, you’ll find natural pools with easy access to the water, making them a good spot for swimming and snorkeling.
Along the way, you can also see the island of La Gomera and enjoy the magical sunsets.

Absolutely gorgeous black sand beach with great facilities like showers rest-/changing rooms and lockers. Lots of shade underneath tamarisk trees and well kept benches. Lifeguard station and the nearby natural pools are among the best I ever visited. The whole alcala beach area is totally inviting and perfect for a relaxing day on the beach taking a swim or go snorkeling.

Beach with good infrastructure (toilets, place to eat, places to park), the sand is good and doesn’t create muld, also there’s natural pool just by the beach. Location creates waves that are not too strong, even with “wavy” weather, but you can have fun in water. This one was our favourite ☺️

Small but beautiful volcanic beach. Free to visit with nearby parking on street or slightly further in lot. Quieter but still has small cafe, toilet, benches and lifeguard. Nice platform to watch the ocean as well. Children’s park nearby, and nice walking path along coast.
