A compact black-sand beach beside Los Gigantes harbour, valuable for cliff views, easy harbour plans and short swims.
Los Guíos is about 180 m long and sits right at the foot of the Los Gigantes cliffs. Restaurants, bars, boat trips, diving and snorkelling plans are close by, so the beach works best as one part of a wider Los Gigantes stop. It is also better managed than its size suggests, with beach services and assisted bathing support, but the sand area is tight and fills quickly.
This stop can be brilliant, but road time, weather and the order of the day matter more than the pin on the map.

Small black sand volcanic beach with great views of the towering cliffs.
Los Gigantes in Tenerife is a scenic, laid-back resort town on the southwest coast, famed for its breathtaking 300-to-800-metre vertical cliffs (Acantilados de los Gigantes) plunging into the Atlantic. It is a popular spot for whale and dolphin watching, boat trips, and, in addition to the Playa Los Guios beach, offers a charming marina and a bustling, relaxing atmosphere.

A very relaxing resort with enough happening to keep active with some lively bars and shops. Very spectacular coast line with high cliff s rising from the sea.

A beautiful beach with stunning views.
Showers available for washing off sand which was very valuable, my children were covered in the black sand!
Lifeguard sat on the beach which very reassuring.
We were there for an hour on a Sunday mid morning in December and it was fairly quiet. Left our possessions by the rocks and then paddled.
Was very clean; the water and the beach. A couple or benches at the top of the ramp. Easily accessible.

Very small. A lot of rocks. Way more than in pictures, so don’t be fooled by those. Not many places to sit because there are rocks…
Big backdrop, small beach
Los Guíos is one of those places where the view is larger than the beach. Plan around the cliffs and harbour, not only sunbathing.
