Playa de las Teresitas is Santa Cruz's pressure-release beach: a long strip of golden sand, palms, kiosks and usually gentler water behind the breakwater. It is not wild Anaga, and that is exactly why it works.
You can come by bus, park more easily than at many city beaches, swim without fighting open Atlantic surf and walk to San Andrés for fish afterwards. The beach gets busy and wind can throw fine sand across everything, but for a simple capital-side swim it remains the easiest answer.
Teresitas works best when you connect beach time with Santa Cruz, parking and wind checks.

Wonderful place to spend the day. The sand is perfect, the clear blue water is always quiet and perfect for swimming because of the pier close by that breaks all the waves of the ocean.

A beach with yellow sand brought from the Sahara. The beach is wide and long, and there are breakwaters in the water, so the waves stay small even on windy days.

It is extremely easy to get by car or by bus. There is a big free parking lot, many benches, toilet, bar, free shower and it is pretty quiet.

Its one of the most beautiful beaches in this island, with yellow sand and crystal water. The bad side is the non-stop wind that blows sand into your face during the whole stay.
