Playa de Almáciga is Anaga's road-edge wild beach: black sand below green slopes, surf rolling in from the north and Benijo waiting farther along the coast. It feels easier to reach than Benijo because the road sits close, but the ocean is no softer.
Come for the open view, the raw village-coast mood and the feeling of mountains dropping into water. Swim only when the sea is clearly behaving; many days Almáciga is better for walking the sand, watching surfers and letting the north coast stay in charge.
