A small, sheltered public cove below the Abama resort, with golden sand, usually gentler water and a climb back to the car.
Abama can be a lovely family beach, but only if the access suits everyone in your group. From the parking area above, the official route takes roughly ten minutes downhill and finishes with stairs; the return feels much longer in midday heat. The shell-shaped bay is protected by a breakwater, with La Gomera often visible beyond the volcanic coast. Bring water and shade, and do not plan around using the hotel funicular or private guest services. You can drive down briefly to drop off passengers or bags, then the car must go back to the parking area. Come early and judge the beach by the full journey, not just by the calm-looking water in photographs.
This is an easier south-coast stop, but food, shade and short transfers still make the day better.
