Speaking Simply Spanish

I was searching for a Spanish teacher online while on holiday in Tenerife in January, and that’s when I found Fiona. We met for a one-to-one session and hit it off immediately. I knew straight away she would help me take my Spanish to the next level.

I’ve been learning Spanish for a while but had always changed tutors, as nothing quite felt like the perfect fit—until I met Fiona. My weekly lessons are super fun, engaging, and really well structured, and she’s helping everything finally sink in.

One of the things I love most is that English is her first language. It makes such a difference when translating how Spanish is actually spoken, as it’s often not word-for-word. Fiona explains things clearly and in a way that really makes sense.

Fiona is a wonderful teacher. Very friendly and patient and puts you at ease from the first lesson. Her classes and her fun conversation groups with quizzes and helpful work books make learning spanish an enjoyable experience.

We have been having lessons with Fiona for some time. We find her very approachable and she never makes us feel stupid if we don't grasp something straight away. She is happy to go over things as many times as we need. She is always to think of different ways to help us learn and to keep our interest in learning.

I would highly recommend Fiona! She is an amazing teacher and also such a lovely person. She has made me feel so comfortable from the start and also helps you to enjoy the lesson. She is so patient with me and my pronunciation and progress and couldn’t be more helpful! She is so friendly and I really enjoy my lessons in person with her. I also do the online lessons and would highly recommend them for going at your own pace and time. There is quizzes and videos and the website is done perfectly. I am heavily pregnant and she makes me feel so at home since the moment I have met her and I look forward to seeing her every week for a chat! ❤️❤️

I was in Los Christianos for 5 days and wanted to get some private lessons to improve my Spanish and get more confident speaking it for the rest of my holiday. In the first lesson Fiona was already able to analyze my level. She always left room for me to decide what I wanted to learn, but could also make suggestions on what to work on. I really loved that. She is an amazingly competent and patient teacher and after a couple lessons I felt confident enough to pretty much try everything in Spanish. No more English for me for the rest of my holiday :) I can absolutely recommend her and will continue to work with her method when returning home. Thanks, Fiona!
